My employer shipped my DD out here from Illinois by way of DAS Auto Shippers. When I picked the car up 2 weeks later, there was a small scrape and a couple dings in the roof. Nothing major, but noticable. I got the claims forms and just now got around to getting estimates thanks to overtime and debating if I wanted to bother over a fairly minor bit of damage.
I got the two quotes as requested by their forms and was completely floored..I was expecting $200 tops, but one quoted me at $780 and the other $830.
Has anyone ever made a claim with DAS (or any other shipper)? It's not a *huge* deal, but I didn't give my car to them with this damage and am worried they're going to try and file this under their, "Normal Wear and Tear" clause that excuses things like dings, chips and windshield damage.
