The canister will not fix a low vacuum condition. It will help at low rpm or idle, to stop a surging pedal. The last on I installed had a .520-.540 lift hyd. roller in a bigger engine. It had a little trouble keeping the vacuum assist steady. Unless you know the vacuum put out by this motor, I'd say that's a little much for a standard booster. Hydroboost or a vacuum pump, might be needed.

where can i find a vacuum pump? or should i just go with hydroboost?

Hydro boost, but my power brakes work good in my Nova, I have between 7 and 8 in drive this LBS of vacuum, , 10 at idle, and I have it idling around 1000 rpm's

It's not the lift in a cam that causes low vacuum, it's the overlap at low speed, with compression, loading (convertor if automatic) and tune all factoring in.

Honestly I would look around the salvage yards and pick up one or two small vacuum assit pumps from cars(Ill look around and see if I can source you some models to look for) add on one of the vacuum canisters(I think Comp makes one now) and hook it directly to your booster and heater controls(if you vacuum controls) and drive on and never worry about cams again.
Good luck
