I would like to fit larger tires in the back of my Mustang, maybe 335, currently have 285x40 now and they are a really close fit (involved taking a sledgehammer to inners, and bending outer lip up). I do not want to back half car, just mini-tub. Anybody had this done and can recommend a shop and est. cost?

I think a mini tube want be enough for 335's. I have a Comet with a mini tube & a have 295's but maybe the most I could go would be 315's. To get a 335, the frame rails would have to be moved in.

streetrod77 is right...the most your can fit is a 315 when you move the inner wheel housing flush with the outside of the frame rail. I have seen a 335 on a 65/66 fastback but it was a converted prostreeter that had been backhalved.
