I have finally decided to build a 350 TPI motor. I can buy a set of vortec heads with a scoggins Dickey tpi intake. How much if any would this be different than a stock TPI. Also I keep reading about a tpi stalls at 4500 rpm if this is true how do you get around it

Lee if you are out there jump in

Thanks

I don't know if you have the clearance but the Holley stealthram for Vortec or std heads has a nice powerband. Good power from 2000-6500 for most typical 400 HP engines. The price is decent.

I do enjoy my TPI motor (ZZ4, 1.6 roller rockers, SLP runners), but it's not a high-horsepower setup. Lots of torque in good places for around town driving, but it definitely gives up around 4800-5000. I've been trying to find a good deal on a used Stealth Ram - it's the way to go if you want to run 6000 RPM and keep up with an LS1.

Have you seen the tpi line by FIRST. They have 1,750 runners interesting unit. I already have vortec heads so I can't use it. I will look for their website

FIRST's website: http://www.firstfuelinjection.com/

Looks like they are working on a base for Vortec heads.
