:1st: when I have this.....

I have allready transported a complete exhaust system in the same way and doors/fenders etc. inside the car.

(Suzuki Alto displacement: 900cc 3cyl weight: 600kg, these are NOT typo's  )

I allready stripped about 95% of the subframe after I got it home yesterday.....now finish it, prepare for POR15 and paint it.

well actually I would like to have a Pick-Up but I just cannot afford it.....
Besides the costs of buying one we pay roadtax according the weight of the vehicle. (for a decent Pick-Up it will be between $125~$150 a month) then there is the fuel costs overhere at around $7 a gallon....

not complaining though... I still have the Camaro and it will be driven again once finished!

$7 a gallon?

Wow.

That would pretty much bring hot-rodding to a dead stop if that ever happened over here, unless we all started working on electric/biodiesel machines, which is pretty unlikely.

That said, a 7+ liter Ford Powerstroke running on used cooking oil might make for a unique powertrain.

:lmao: Oh yeah! That brings back some memories. In 1977 I bought an almost new '77 Astre (think Pontiac Vega). A year or two later I changed appartments and moved everything but the couch with it. After I bought a house it was again used for moving duties. At one point I had two SBCs in the back (disassembled) and even went so far as to pull the hatch off so I could move a refrigerator.
Now I have a pickup and a '77 Vega. My Vega is leading a very pampered life compared to my old Astre.

Hey Kenova get this I am putting a 77Monza together for ProTouring and a buddy has just got a 75Vega.
Gotta love the Hbodies and rightnow it has the S10 brake conversion for 5 lug but I am thinking of going up to zQ Blazer spindles and some Vette brakes too.
And I have my 78 C10 with 91 Suburban nose and Air Ride too.Thats my parts hauler.

Haha LOL!! You're lucky you do not live in the big city like me...don't think the cops would allow that.
On the other hand you make some progress!??!

why cliff....it was strapped down and not going anywhere....I guess they could have given me a ticket for scratching Suzuki paint:poke:

Anyways...I got it home and spent a few hours with a wire brush on an angle grinder..... yesterday degreased all the parts I had stripped and etched them with metal ready....I will probably paint them this weekend with POR15.

I am also working on an update on my page....I'll probably post it after the weekend.

Well, I was gonna say because a diesel ram will fly with a few mods, but at $7 a gallon for gas and truck weight tax, I'd step it back to a little nissan 4 banger truck.

Anyway your ingenuity is praise worthy. I sure as hell wouldn't have thought to use something that small to haul anything but a bookbag and some groceries.
