Hi all,
When I get 408 Keith Craft motor I'm going to need to replace the clutch. I'm currently debating on what type to go with. I've previously used a centerforce dual friction with some success, but never really liked the idea of replacing the whole assembly and not having discs available seperately. Also, the new motor is going to have significantly more power than all other motors I've played with.
I've been looking into the Mcleod Street Twin and Ram's version the Street Dual and was curious if any of you have run these or heard anything about them? Thanks
Tom

I have a Mcleod on my 1996 Impala SS with a 500 hp stroker and it is very streetable and it holds really good, but it does take a little getting used to because it grabs fast.

So would you describe it as an in/out type clutch???
Basically I want something that is nice and light, and is smooth yet capable of handling the power..

You can slip it but it takes a little getting used to, I try to let it out close to idle and slowley feed it the throttle and it works fine, I'm not one of those rev, rev, rev slip guys I like to let it out near idle so it doesn't create much heat and it will last forever.

I have the Mcleod street twin and like Dave said it's grabby but not too much on pedal effort. It does take some getting use to. That and my mechanical linkage and short throw throttle arm make for some interesting driving.
