Anyone thats uses a hydratech booster on their car

Was the brake pedal in the same position as it was with a stock booster?

I was finishing up my install on my s-10 last night, all I had left to do was bleed the unit, and clip it up to the brake pedal. Started my truck, finishing off their bleeding instructions. Went to hook it up to my brake pedal, and the rod is WAY SHORT!! Its an adjustable rod, and with the end barely threaded on, its 1 1/2" shorter than my stock one.

This puts my brake pedal almost on the floor. Stock the pedal was just about even with the clutch pedal. Myabe 1/4" difference between the 2. The rod needs to be about 2" longer( give me another 1/2" so I can get some decent threads on the end)

I doubt its supposed to be like this, or is it? Or is my booster wrong?

After running across this post, I did some investigation to find that YES, we did accidentally send you the incorrect design :eek: ! The '94 S-series pickup is an oddball one year only booster design - go figure that the same year Blazer uses an entirely different booster. We can either overnight a replacement booster with the correct pedal rod design, or a longer pedal rod adapter, both accomplishing the same end corrective result. Simply give me a call to let me know which direction you would prefer we go.

We here at Hydratech work very hard to insure that our systems are direct bolt in with the highest possible levels of accuracy. While exceptionally rare, errors can happen (1/2 year model run changes / different option packages and so on..) - the difference is customer service, and we will do what needs to be done to maintain the highest possible levels of satisfaction with our systems before / during / and after the sale.

For everyone else, Paul is working hard to rectify the mistake that was made, and will have a new booster out to me on wednesday.

Paul, in this picture from your website, if you look closely you can see how the ends of the brake rod is notched out, leaving the center raised, and just wide enough for the brake light switch.

The one supplied is straight across, and is too wide to activate the brake switch thats mounted on the pedal.
