Well I got up ealry this morning to start cuttin on my falcon. Im try to get the axle measurement so Currie can make the housing and i can pick it up the day after fabulous ford show. So Im tryin to get 18x10 Boyd F01's to fit in the rear, I didnt have to cut asmuch as I thought, all the inner fenders up to the rear sub-frame. i will also have to c-notch the subframe to get the car to sit where i want it. Here are a few pics. Let me know what you guys think. :)
this is my first attempt @ getting my mock up tire to fit..no cutting done yet

Inner fenders removed.. looking better

Well I got all my cuts done in the rear, removed all the front factory suspension in preperation for the mustang II suspension install. I couldnt help but put the car down where i would want it to sit at driving height. :woot:

Heidt's front suspesion with airbags. Drivetrain will be smallblock EFI engine with a supercharger mostlikely (turbo if money allows), 5speed manual trans. Not really sure about the rest.. still looking to get a rendering done to give me some direction.

Looks awesome! I'm planning on doing something similar with my '64 wagon, using 17x7 (narrowed) and 18x10 Bullitt wheels. I have the car in storage right now, so I havent started cutting yet.

Keep them comming. I don't have anything against the pro shop builds but its nice to see what people can do in thier own garage without 100,000 tool budget.

Thx 67Velle & gearheads78. Im a fan of big dollar builds but I just cant afford one. With most local hotrod shop charging $80.+ an hour in labor just installing the mustang II front end would cut into my budget big time.
Well I ran into an issue with the front spindles and the Baer brake kit but it getting resolved.
I was out in SoCal this weekend which allowed me to go by Currie and pick up my axle housing and axles. So i decide to dry assemble everything so we could make sure everything fits and take measurements for the 4 link.
Its a 8" with Torino ends from Currie with 31 spline axles, Aluminum center, Richmond gears, with a posi.

Dang! Hope you get the title thing figured out. I love Falcons/Comets. I have never seen that "Big Muscle" toy Falcon. I gotta get one of those. Anyway, lovin' the stance and wheels. The rear looks great. I'll be watching this one.

I too have a custom mustang II setup as can be seen in the link in my sig. shown with the old 17x7 witha 4.5" backspacing and am going with a 5.5" B.S. on the new 18x8 and a 6" B.S.. on the 19x10. I was just worried about clearing the gaurds with a a B.S. less than 5" but they seem to work fine in yor application.

I've got a 65 falcon convertible that I'm planning on running 18x8 front and 20x10 rear. I was wondering what kind of rear suspension are you running. Mini tub or full back half? Also what kind of width are you running for the rear axle.

Thanks LMDGUY, its a 65-66 Australian Falcon which is the ******* offspring of a 63 Falcon an 63 Mercury Comet, I am way more behind than it looks, trying to get as much parts ready to preasemble fore pant, ordered some Budniks from PRRC a few more weeks to go, got some wilwood 6 spots and 13" superlite rear kit for a ford 9" from Autofab chassis a couple of months back still got paint and body and inerior and back to the chasis shop for a cage, hook up steering plub brakes and fabricate pipes for the engine which is been held up by a custom oil pan 20 weeks late long story... should start a thread bt been a bit lazy getting all the pics.

Any way back to your thread your Falcon is shaping up to be killer ride, good to see ore ford getting the PT treatment even though 67-69 camaros and 70-74 Cudas are some of thebest shapes out there.
