Thanks to Carter Hickman for a great job on my car and being patient with my many requests and changes!

Now, I have to decide if I want polished, black powdercoated, or black chromed wheels and trim.

Vertigo is going to be sick.
All blacked out is the way to go. I just looks like its got Attitude. Either way its going to be a awesome car. Can't wait to see it when its done.

Ever thought about all black like you have them with just the outer lip painted to match the paint...no chrome at all.

Black chrome is going to be the new hott sheot. And yes, Carter is a real pleasure to work with.

Never thought of that... not sure if there would be enough color contrast between the black wheel and the dark gray lip... ???

maybe i missed it in some other thread of yours, but what wheels are those? they look like the ZE Forged Tach wheels to me...
i think either scheme looks great, but i prefer the chrome one. that'll be one helluva nice lookin car when you're done.

You nailed it.. it's the Tach.

Here is one of Carter's photoshop renderings in which the Tach is a little easier to identify.

This is what I was talking about but I see what you mean to because the red is a little louder than the silver.

the back of the roof looks weird in that rendering..

Which rendering?

Yeah that last rendering was a first generation model. I have updated the model with the on that is in the Vertigo render. The first model was not very accurate but the second version is much better?

Thanks again David for the opportunity to work on your project.

Yer right. I didn't notice it before, but the 1/4 window is too big and the sail panel too small. Minor stuff though.

Tought room.... I agree the second version that David posted is off (that is why we build the second version) but I think the version with the Vertigo text is pretty close? The great thing is that we can continue to tweak the models as we go. So input is important and appreciated (I think.... j/k). Now I am back to the computer grind.......

I've been the only one so far (unless that was your vote too)... kind of in the minority i guess:2nd:

Funny.... most of the guys at lateral-G vote for polished! Exact opposite of over here.... I figured it would be about the same and balance out...

Fwiw I am leaning toward the dark/black scene... but it's always subject to change til final decision time! :drive:

Polished.

Unless you're going to put flattener in the paint and have a battleship grey stealth pro-tourer, in which case all black would be the way to go.

Of course, you could always go with D. none of the above, and then pick a random color off the powder coating chart. http://www.custompowdercoating.com/images/color_ral.jpg

Since your car is already black and dark grey, throw in some color to liven it up on the wheels, and make it the reverse of the normal car, which has color on the body and silver/black/grey wheels.

Maybe red like the rat rodders, white like the euro import racers, or maybe a nice royal blue just to be different. If you've got the photoshop help, I'd have him pick a few different shades just to see what your options are. I don't have any photoshop skills at all, but just for kicks I threw your car into Microsoft paint to see what my royal blue idea might look like.

It's definitely different, but it looks cooler than I thought it would. What do you think?

Black is a very cool, racey look.

I like polished the best!

That motor looks to have enough Racey in it for the entire car.(and then some! sweet motor!) :jump: Anyway go with a little bling!

Well... I appreciate the effort, but it's not for me, and I think it just clashes with my color scheme and goal too much.

Thanks for the powdercoating color chart link though. That may prove to be helpful. But as many people I have talked to have said, and I agree, it is just too hard to match the wheel color to the paint, which is why black or a polished finish are really the only 2 options in my eyes.

It's your car, you make the rules. That's why I recommended polished first and added color as an afterthought.

Put up a pic once you finally get it built. It looks like it's going to be a pretty sweet ride.
