I found these blocks and wanted to make sure they are 350's. Could someone please help.

The first is 3970010.
The Moretec site says it could be a 302, 327 or 350. I found it in a late 70's truck.

The second is 387004.
I couldn't find any info on this one.

Thanks for the help.

3970010 350 from 69,70,71,72 Corvette, 302 from Camaro, 350 from 69-79 truck, 69-79 passenger car, Chevelle Camaro, Nova, Monte Carlo

387004 does not seem like enough numbers.

Thanks for the info on the first one.

I looked pretty good and I think that was all of the numbers on the second one. It is in a old GMC van. Later 70's type.

Post the letters that are at the end of the VIN number string that is usually on the little deck pad that's right above the pass. side top w/p bolt and they decode to almost everything IF it is a virgin!!

Year, vehicle, engine size and hp, tranny, carb., air pump, etc.....

That casting number is probably the most common. It has a 4" bore for the 302, 327 & 350. If you want to build a 350 from it make sure the bottom of the block has clearance for the 350 stroke. If it is a full short block the shape of the raer of the crank will tell you what it is. Or measure the stroke of the piston.
