Can I use (read: should I use) a LS1 Driveshaft in my 1st Gen '69 Camaro? I'm installing a T56 within a few weeks and I need to shorten my stock Driveshaft anyway. This is a good time to swap if am going to do it.

Any help is appreciated.

I can get my stock one shorted and balanced for $75 locally. I can score a LS1 aluminum Driveshaft for about $125 (but it will still need to be shortened and balanced). Will the LS1 work for me (Gen 1 350 ZZ4, T56, 10-bolt 8.5")?

Thanks,
Brandon

PS
I read that some of the aluminum DS sometimes vibrate - Is this true? Should I be concerned with an LS1 Alum DS?

:help!:

I know us LT1 guys are always scrambling for the aluminum LS1 shafts because our steel ones shake like crazy. I would say go for just based on the fact that aluminum is light and high tech,
