Frank and his son Michael at Prodigy Customs in Apopka FL just mini-tubbed and grafted a C4 Corvette Dana 44 into my 69 Camaro. (See project “Hawker Hunter” in project forum for more)

Does anyone have suggestions or sources for heavy duty guts and limited slip for the Dana 44? When complete the car will have north of 700 HP. I’d also like suggestions on available high performance suspension bushings in this setup.

Let me know if anyone else is running a Dana 44 in their G-machine.

I'll post pics when I get it up in the air at home.

Thanks,

Thanks, great information. How much HP/Torque have you pushed through it? Did you have to upgrade the half shafts and if so who did you use?

How hard can a human being push? LOL still building the car, changed the halfhsaft to custom telescopic ones much like the genI viper stuff.

I guess it depends on how hard you work out. I'd be impressed if you could break it!

Who made the half shafts? Just a laymans guess but I would think telescopic would have some serious torque limits. I bet you could drive it like a rally car and never bind up the U-joints.

definitly go with harder half shafts then the stock, they will be the first to go.
