Gen. I Mini Tub fit questions

Those of you who have installed mini tubs:

Do they make the sides of the rear seat very uncomfortable from the portion that is cut out?

Also, how easily do they fit on convertibles? Do they interfere with the top mechanisms? I believe the Innovator is using them from DSE, but there is so much money in that car, I don't see it as a good gauge of what fits without extra fabrication.

Convertibles require a bit more work as you have to cut through the super structure between the 2 quarters. The top frame will hit, but we have brackets to cure that which allow the top to fold all the way down. The braces are $150.

As for the rear seat, don't worry about it, you are up front anyway, LOL!

Yes the tubs poke a full size adult in the side a bit, kids don't care, nor do chicks under 100LBS.
