im aiming the car towards handling but i will be putting a very high horse motor in the car within the next 1 or 2 years. can the ats spindles take drag racing? the car will make around 800-900 horse and be on slicks so wheelies are a possibility. i wanna make sure that theyd be ok.

thanks
Jesse

I would say absolutly yes. I remeber Tyler telling me about some pretty amazing stress test. Wheelies are no big deal unless you choke at the top of the wheelie and come crashing down, then spindles are your least concern. Otherwise the spindels get a nice cushy ride.

If you look at the stockers, then look at your ATS spindles, you won't even need to ask..........

But will the calpers and rotors used with the spindles clear a skinny 15"x5 front runner?

I was wondering the same thing . I guess they will handle the speed 210 to 220 mph in the 1/4 . Anyone know how many inches tall the tall one is. I have Chris Alston spindles now little to heavy for what I'm trying to do . what about lightweight brakes . thanks for all the help guy's great place to get information Bobby

lol. no im ditchin the 396. probably gonna go with an ls1 or ls2 turbo set up.

as for the skinnies, ive seen vettes run them so i guess they would work. i had pro stars on my 98 T/A and i just had to put 1/4 inch spacers in to make them fit.

Spacers are illegal at the track.

I'd call ATS and talk to Tyler. I'm sure he's the most qualified...
