Just wanted to say hello. My name is Scott and I own MAKK Motoring, LLC in Ephrata, WA. I started the business two years ago, building and "modernizing" muscle cars. Before that, I was in custom car audio for 12 years, owning a store for 4 of them. I will post a couple pics when I get a chance. I look forward to learning from this site as well as giving my input if need be.

Scott

Wow, a guy from walla walla as well. Sweet deal. Either one of you guys make it to Cool Desert Nights here in downtown Richland? If so will you be making an appearance this year? I believe my car will be done for the show and i will be showing it.

by "making an appearance" do you mean bringing a car? no. check out my new post in "project updates" and you'll see the state mine is in... if you mean showing up, i don't know. when is it? don't know anything about it. sounds interesting though

Hows it, All the brah's from washington. I'm in Bothell until this coming sunday the 18th. I have this week to get my car in good enough running condition to take it down to west seattle to the Matson shipping port. Then shove it in a container, load it on an ocean carrier and ship it over to Maui. This is going to be a fast week, with plenty of work to keep me busy.

Welcome home Scott.

Sorry guys, Guess i should put the date on it. This year its June 21-23 in Richland. Downtown at the uptown off the 240 highway, Take George Washington St exit. You will hit the show on the nose. Its a big show.

StealHorses, Just checked out your other post... At the time i didn't know what area in the build you were in. But looks like its going to be a sweet project.

How much is that going to cost you to ship your car to maui via container Protour68bird? If you dont mind me asking. Always wondered what that would run.

How big does that car show get down there, whats the turn out?

To get the car to hawaii, its $975 from Matson, and it can be more from other companies and up to $4000 for shipping commercial sized vehicles.

I just got on here to see if i could answer my own question or if someone could help, i have some QA1 Stocker Star shocks that im in the middle of installing. The problem i have right now is that the T-bar on the bottom of the shock won't fit through the hole in my control arm, but the shocks come with the bolts and lock nuts. So what im wondering is, do i need to stick the t bar through the A arm or can i bolt it on through the top of the arm?

Any help is greatly appreciated, im in a rush to get her on the road and ready to ship. Thanks, Brian.

The show get pretty darn big. Entire uptown is covered in cars and the downtown richland is blocked off just for the show. People with cars that arn't in the show drive in and park just to check out the different cars.

There is a cruise that is like 6 miles or so that goes through out the two cities. A real fun cruise.

As for the QA1's, im thinking you have to install them by perhaps releacing the lower a-arms then installing them. But i have no experience with QA1's, Im sure if i had the shocks in my hand i would figure it out. Hopefully someone else could help. Try posting in the suspension area.

sounds like a lot of fun. i'll try to make it, and see if i can talk a friend or two into coming too. you said your car might be done for the show... you gonna be down there all 3 days, or any day in particular?

All i have left is finishing up the Rear-Suspension, Front and rear Air-bags(easy install), Fuel cell lines, and rear brake lines/E-Brake. Then Paint(doing myself) and im off! So i will definently be done for the show. I will be in the actual show the entire time. So stop on by if you can. If not i will post pics on here anyway.

Geez... seems just a year or so ago the PNW wasn't well represented at all... now look at us! Welcome to the site, and be sure to post those pics.

BTW, sounds like it won't be long before we can justify our own PNW p-t meet.

Maybe this summer get all the guys from the PNW for a greet n meet tour. I will be there for sure, with the nova. I almost finished my last big obstacle tonight(converting the ladder bars into a custom fabricated 3 link. Upper link is a %!#*$ to fabricate while having the rearend at ride hieght.)

If fall time works better for everyone project wise then that will work for me as well.
