I have a 69 camaro with a 383. It has com cams 288 roller in it and about 10:1 compression.

I bought it as a crate motor and installed a carb I had laying around.

It is a Holley 750 vacume secondary.

Shouldn't I go with a double pumper on a manual trans?

You can run your V/S carb but a more ideal set up would be a M/S

i dont know about that... unless your using a blower, vacume secondary is the way to go on a mild street engine from what i understand

Every LS6, LT1 and (I think)DZ 302 had one...

People love the doubler pumpers because they cover the "hole" in throttle transition on big cammed engines, but realistically, you'll make more power with a vac sec because it's never oversized.
