anyone ever splice a couple of stock vavle covers to get clearance for roller rockers while keeping a somewhat stock appearance? anyone think it would look weird? im having trouble visualizing them raised about an inch or so..the car is a '69 impala ragtop with a 385hp/427 that im mildly resto-modding..i wanna keep it looking as stock as possible while adding a little power..think the rollers are overkill?..ive never liked the factory stamed rockers..and seeing how the price of rollers are pretty reasonable for the amount of stress they take off i think there worth it...
