I went into the turn too hot on a track that had Snow on it an hour earlier. :drive1:. Yes, the pictures show I did not turn into the spin, I was trying to avoid more cones, since I was already too far gone to recover.

Ha Ha actually some of my friends want to kill me, It only had 4k miles on it two years ago. They said I should park it and never drive it. My great uncle bought it brand new. He never drove, so it sat in the garage for 20 years until he passed away. My aunts and uncles wanted to give it to there kids because it looked like a good "winter car." I am all for driving it! Thats why I love the car hobby. Look at my camaro and you'll know why I need at least one car to drive. I planned on making my camaro a street car, and I still consider it a street car, but I'll never drive it as much as my cutlass.

We originally bought the car painted for the clean body. We don't know the color, but it is strikingly similar to the dark blue GMC used on our '96 Suburban.
The wheels are Boyd's, 9.5" in the rear with 315/35's and 8" in the front with 245/45's.

Samckitt
03-12-2007, 07:24 AM
I love the color, and am now excited because I have the same size wheels frt/bck as you. I had thought I needed 10.5+ width rears for 315 tires. Did you notch the frame to get them to fit?

Thanks,
Scot

RKHiPerformance
03-12-2007, 07:49 AM
The Nitto drag radial fits in the rear because Nittos are cut way small, but it's still close.
If the frame is not centered under the body or if the rear suspension allows unwanted movement the tires will hit.

This is my baby. I've restored her and definetly have plans to upgrade. Some nice 17" wheels are in the plans plus it needs lowered more, in the pic it has Hotchkis Springs but they didn't do a whole lot as far as lowering. Eventually I want to get SC&Cs G-5 kit as well as much much more! The 2nd pic is a bad quality cell phone picture before the smoke started rolling in. The 3rd pic is another Hurst which I think looks better without the door bump strip, so i'll probably remove mine this spring.
