here are some pics of my new project.bought it a few weeks ago.i think it will be a good foundation to get started.almost zero rust and only minor dents,except the driver quarter panel.it will need replacing.picked it up for $2000.

It appears you have a great starting point for your project. Are you going to use the interior from the donor car also?

i don't think i'll use the interior.right now i have something else planned if the money is there.

Wow, looks like alot of fun! Def keep updated pics going. Im wondering how hard the wiring transfer is going to be. Might be putting an LS1 into my toyota 4runner. And thats only because im finished with the nova's engine. haha so the 4X4 is next to get a powerplant.

But def a sweet project!

I'll have to break out my camera and post up. I'm doing the same thing; LS1/69 Firebird. You're off to a good start.

sweet buy..i too have a 69 bird 400..that a 400 car? cant wait too see it come together..

it's going to be a pro touring car.18" wheels,4 link rear,big brakes,either global west or dse front end,qa1 shocks,etc...
something that will be a good driver and be able to take it to track days at the road coarses around here.
its going to be a long project(3year time frame)and i would like to keep to under $25,000.my goal is to make hot august night in reno no later than 2010.
