Hi everyone...I was thinking about going to a road course in Northeast Ohio called Neslon Ledges Road Course. I wanted to drive my car on a road course to see how the new suspension works plus to see what mods would need to be done to make it handle better. Going by the website there are plenty of dates to choose from and the cost is $120 per driver for the day. It runs from 10a-4p and you have all day to drive.
The course is about an hour east of Cleveland, Ohio so anyone in northeast Ohio and Western Pennslyvania (or anyone who wants to make the drive) are in a reasonalbe driving distance. I would like to get at least a few american muscle cars to the course on the same day so I'm not over run by a bunch of young punks driving jap scrap with the big tail pipes that sound like can openers.
If enough of you are interested we can all contact one another through the board and set a date to go out and test our rides, cruise around the track, share trade secrets, etc. Let me know what you think.

I'm game once the weather gets a little nicer. Plus I have a friend here in Columbus with a '77 Nova that would like to go as well.

Sounds good. Looking to go sometime in June. I would hope by then the snow melts but then again it is Cleveland.
SicMonte, where is summit point?

HHHMMM! Thinking... I'm about 3-4 hours away though. I'm signed up for a few dates up here in Canada for my first time. Can't wait to throw my car around a bit.
You never know I may be in.

Plenty of time to think. I would think June or even July would be a good time to go. It would be nice to run the track with some classics out there with ya.
Let us know in a few months. Happy motoring!!!

Yeah, I'd considering doing that one as well. I wouldn't mind trying different tracks.

Hi Carbo,
Nelson Ledges sounds like fun. Looking at their schedule, looks like fun days/test n tune days are on Fridays. In June, the 15th and 22nd work for me. In July, the 20th and 27th are only fun days, either would work for me. Let us know what you all think - a bunch of hot rods on the road course would be a blast! Let's see...I'll have to pull of the drag radials, hook the sway bar back up, change out the drag shocks...no problem! Can't wait!

Those are the dates I was thinking of too. The only problem I might encounter is my car is still in the body shop and I think they're going to have it at least another month. Then I have to take a couple of days for final assembly. If it's not ready in June than definitely July. I will post when the car is ready so hopefully we can get some hot rods up there together.

I don't know if my Camaro could make it that distance but I'd still love to go, thats maybe a three or four hour drive but with the lack of pro-tourers here in Cincinnati I think it would be worth it especially with the insight I might be able to get from everyone considering my Camaro is still going from Street/Strip style to full out pro-touring eventually
But depending on how it falls with other car shows or events count me in...

Not exactly a muscle car, but I might have to tag along with you, if you guys decided on going. I want to get my truck out on the track this year.
