I need some 1" pipe bending dies but cant find anything cheap.

I want to build a cheap bender to do some minor bending on a project. I can only forsee 4 bends to be made and thats it forever so a complete bender is not what I need.

Maybe one of you have one of those cheap benders that you dont need the 1" die set out of? Shoot me some ideas or pm if you have dies you want to get rid of.

so what are you planning on using for the braces? Pipe and Tube are 2 completely different things.

1" .095 mild steel. It will be a long cylindrical object with a hole through the middle.

Pipe/tube how do I know the diff

well for starters pipe is roughly measured as an ID where as tube is OD

So your 1" pipe will really have an OD of +/- 1.315" and depending on schedule (10,40,80 ect.) the ID will be 1.10", 1.15", 1.96"...
And your 1" x .095wall mild steel tubing will have an actual OD of 1"
So you need to decide if your going to use pipe or tubing and buy a die accordingly.

OK now that makes sence to me. I will be buying 1" od tube.
I will probly make a buck and fill the tube with sand and see what happens
