is it hard to remove powder coating? PITA? if you remove some of it can you re coat the bare area with the exsisting still on the parts?

Near impossible! If you can get it off, should be no problem with re-coating, however, if you can get it off.

easyest way to get powered off is burn it off 2nd best sand blast. then yes you can recoat the areas that you striped.

I think Eastwood sells a chemical stripper that will remove powdercoating.

hmm ok thanks guys, i was thinking sand blasting but dont know if that will affect the surrouding areas. unless they where masked off and then have it done. ill check eastwoods to see what i can find.

Check with your powder coater. I have heard that you can coat over a single layer of power coat.
