Those "door bars" look pointless to me. Can someone explain that to me?

they are just mild door bars. the client wanted the rear seats to be easily accessable and that rulled out the use of beefier door bars, cross bracing, and rear bars.
how did you weld the bars the are right up against the roof? did you have enough room to ge the welding gun back there?
