I had the bright idea to install the 442 gauge package in my 87 Cutlass. Now the gas gauge reads 1/2 full when its empty. I tried another gauge I had from another 442 and it reads empty all of the time. Anyone know anything about these or where I might find some info?

Thanks, Thats where I got the great idea to swap the gauges. I think the printed circut board may have a short in it.

While I didn't want to hijack a thread I thought it had been long enough since last post and had the perfect title for searchers to mention a product I intend to use on my project. The subject of G-body Olds gauges lead me to Dakota Digital. Their gauge assembly (http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=485/category_id=314/home_id=59/mode=prod/prd485.htm) is admittedly pricey but, if you check the features (http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm?ptype=article&article_id=9), has alot to offer.

Oh I'm in the same place megaladon6 because this may well be a year out, but I think most people don't see what can be done with this cluster. For example, alot of folks would appreciate the performance calculations they normally buy a separate unit for including: 0-60 MPH (0-100 KPH) timer, ¼ mile timer, ¼ mile speed display, High Speed recall and High RPM recall. What do the G-Force jobs go for...$2-300? Aside from having speedo (fully calibratable), oil press, water temp, voltage, and fuel level. You can have them add other indicators like gear indicator, turn signals, cruise control, turn signal, and high beam, etc. Also, if you have a power adder like a supercharger or turbo you can have them include a boost gauge in your cluster!
