Is kris still doing renderings? I noticed he hadn't been around in a while although his webpage is up. I was thinking about getting one done.

If Chris is HDdesign, then yes. I PM'd him a while back about doing one of my car.

I think by Kris he means Kris Horten from CarsByKris. He doesn't post here as much as he did in the past but he's got a full-time job now and I'm sure his rendering business has him pretty swamped in the evenings leaving him little time to horse around on message boards. He was last in here just before Christmas and hasn't posted since. I'd go ahead and drop him an e-mail.

Yes but he is slow due to his full time gig at JADA.

Thanks guys,
I was wondering if he had gotten busy or a full time job.. I might shoot him an email and give that a shot, although I hate to bother him if hes busy.
I would recommend looking at Hermance Design. I was considering a "render" for my disco-camaro and communicated with Ben several times. Even though I never pulled the trigger on the rendering, Ben always responded to my questions and was very nice to deal with.

My ears were ringing, did someone mention my name? LOL
Kris actually has the screenname "Kris Horton" I believe. I haven't seen or heard from him in a while. He's a busy guy and I think he's still working full time at Jada Toys and does the custom car stuff on the side.
Very few of us actually do this full time, including myself. I do my 40 at a product design firm and spend most nights doing the car stuff until 2 or 3 am. There are some advantages to being an insomniac I guess.
As Tony said, send Kris an email to see what's going on, then give him a ring. He does incredible work that's high in demand so....hopefully he'll get back to you. If not, there are quite a few other artists/designers that are regulars on here that may be able to help you with your project. Please feel free to check out my website as well (in my signature) to see if you like my style of rendering and think it's a good fit. (Holy crap, I really have to update those fossils on there! They're starting to get long in the tooth!)
Good luck with your project!
