Ever since I replaced my stock springs (they had twist in spacers :fingersx: ) with Hotchkis 2" lowering springs my front right tire has beat the heck out of my front right fender. Any medium sized dip or bump will put the tire into the fender and make me cringe.:drive2:

I haven't read anything that has said these springs didn't work in a first gen camaro. Is this possibly a build variability issue?

My setup is the Hotchkis 1906F Coil Springs (for BBC with steel heads) and a 427 engine. The only other mod to the front suspension is the Hotchkis hollow swaybar.

From cursory inspection everything seems to be in order. Any ideas on what I can check that may be out of whack?

Could there be non-obvious frame damage causing this?

Frame may be mis aligned and over the the right to much. Ever notice where the tires fit in relation to the wheelwells?

What camber do you have? I had to go to 1* negative and button head bolts for the inner fender top to make it work.

I had a similar problem with my '67 Firebird.
Only with the left side, had it aligned and checked the subframe.
No help.
Checked the position of springs in the pocket....nothing.
Talked to a guy at Ricks First Gen, he recommended switching front shocks.
He recommended the Eldelbrock shock, installed the grey ones...
end of problem.

My car also has aftermarket front fenders.
Could be something there, who knows.
