Hi Craig,
I know you probably mentioned this in another thread but I can't seem to find it.
What will the backspacing requirements be with your new sub?
ie, with a stock sub I would get 18x8 with 4.75" of bs to run a 245/35/18. I've read that the new sub increases the track width by 1/2" so does that mean the new bs should be 5", increase 1/4" per side?
Thanks
Oh, and what brake options are available for it, brand, price, etc.

You are correct on the backspace, 1/4" more per side. I'll let Craig update you on brake choices!

Thanks Matt, that's what I heard/thought. I'll wait to hear from Craig about brake options.
My delema is I need to order my front wheels very soon but I'm still running the stock sub. I will have no choice but to use my 18's out back very soon and want to keep the car as a driver while the transformation is happening.
So if I order the fronts with the AME sub in mind will they temporarily work on a stock sub, even if I had to use say a 1/4" spacer?
Decisions, decisions...

That's what I would do, a good compromise between the two. Other thing to think about when ordering wheels is the distance between the hub face and the outside of the caliper. I'm not sure if you are familiar with C5 brakes, but the caliper is VERY close to the wheel spokes. When ordering wheels, you'll need to verify with the manufacturer that these wheels will work on C5 hubs. Read page 3 here:
http://www.wilwood.com/PDF/ds459.pdf
As you can see in figure 2, you'll need 1.27" between the hub fact (wheel mounting surface), to the inside of the wheel spoke. Very important.
Also, plan on what size brakes you want. If you want 14", you'll need to use an 18" wheel.

The stock C5 Vette brakes go for $885
Wilwood 13" SL6's start at $1700
Wilwood 14" 6-piston kits start at $1825
There are different options on the Wilwood parts, hence the "start from". If you don't dig on our options, any brake that works with a C5 spindle will work - Baer, AP, SSBC, Etc.
Hope this answers your question. I'll have Matt(silver69) answer the other ones for you!

just as a side note, we are in full production with these subframes, and right now have a very, very short turn around time on them. I think todays orders were quoted at 5-7 business days!
