Anyone know of an aftermarket block steel or alum that will go over the common 427, 434, 454 combos avaliable? I have seen a raised cam Donovan at 470 once... Anyone??

The biggest small block based engine I have seen is 465cid. Any bigger than that than you are in big block terrirory. Frankly any bigger than that and you are well out of Intake runner CC's with the small block head design anyways.

That's the stuff LowBuckX... The only one I've seen like that one is a 470 Donovan, all alum, pump gas... 600hp.. It was ridiculously cool and made me want one

I don't get it... the block is iron.
For that kind of money you could almost do an aluminum 540 Big Block that would absolutely crush the 700HP mark and weigh less.
I'm not a BBC guy by any means, but when you are getting into those sorts of displacements (and $$) what's the point in staying with a small block?

sucks that small blocks are limited by the intake runner.....big massive SBC cubes = one SERIOUS head (read: All Pro, 15*, etc) or a conventional head + a little boost ;)
