I bliOk that was a unit set up to compete with the Howe 2 speed differential that all the old state trooper Fords had whitchwere basicly from the 2 I saw a special center and a slider and planetary set up. They fit into the 9in housing and where pretty much bullet proof.
The Dana design never held up under abuse and kept spitting cases and exploding.
I have seen several of the Howe setups but they all got bought out of the junk yard and swapped into pickup truck. They worked ok for using as an overdrive but never held up well on the drag strip.
I saw one in a 67 Galaxie I bought the sideoiler 435hp 427 out of and it baked.
Dont figure on finding one and putting todays power into one and have it live if you find one.
The fella I ask about them was a tech in a state trooper shop and he said they had about a dozen at atime to swap out as the officers would chase bootleggers and ciggarette runners and burn the lube up and they would pull over and the car would never move again till the center got pulled.
