Where can I buy weld through primer. I went to Oreilly's and home depot, hoping they could at least point to the right place but both people I talked to thought I was insane. "Why would you want to prime something then weld it", my response "Nevermind.....":hand:

i've seen it for sale in Eastwood, but don't know what kind of time frame you need it in. Have you tried an auto body supply/paint store?

I'm not sure who would sell it in your area. In the Ohio Valley area we buy it from KOI.
Here is a link to the product. My Dad just used it on some rocker panels he's welding in. He said that it takes a little getting used to, but all-in-all it worked pretty well

I got some of the cold galvenizing compound from eastwood. Its full of zinc and i donno it wokrs i guess. Its heavy, the quart can of it weighs about 10 pounds.
The thing i look at on most of these weld through primers is they say they can protect from months of outdoor storage. So i guess after a couple month you have to bust all your seams and reapply it?

Home Depot does carry it. It's called cold galvaizing primer or something like that. I've used it several times.

3M stuff is great but clogs constantly. It and many off brands are available at your local Autobody supply. Some of the cheaper brands work better. I am using some crazy Greek, yes Greek brand (Im serious) that works great so far. Also tastes good on a Gyro. go figure.
HTP I believe sells a brush on version.
Just to make sure, you only use it in panels that are being spot or plug welded together. If you are trying to run a bead in it it is like welding in mud and not it's intended use.
Also wear a respirator!!!
