Is there any problem mixing UCAs from one manufacturer with LCAs from another manufacturer? I have a pair DSE LCAs and have come across a good deal on a pair of GW UCAs. Is it better to run a "matched set" or can I mix?

I don't know of lowers having any affect on geometry. Besides, it's ok to run stock lowers with any of the uppers. Maybe the purists might have an issue....

NOOOO, not the purists!!!!:crying: Both the uppers and lowers are direct, bolt-in replacements, so they may work together ok. I just need to make sure before shelling out the dough.

The only issue I could think of, is someday when and if your bushings are shot, it'll be pretty annoying to have to track them down from two different companies.
Other than that, the DSE LCA has no geometry change, its essentially a tubular stock arm. Hell, DSE and GW probobly use the same ball joints.

I thought the DSE had additional caster built-in to help center the tire in the well when combined with their upper?

As long as you keep the bushings lubed you will not have a problem with them as long a you own the car.
I was my understanding that all tubular LCA used factory pivot points. It would make sense to move the lower BJ forward to help center the wheel with larger positive caster, but I have not heard that.

I'm a pessimist, what can I say? :woot:
DSE LCA's replacate the factory geometry exactly, hence why many people tend to opt out of the LCA 'upgrade' and just replace their bushings/ball joints.
Carl Casanova's website mentions a couple times that his sole reason for purchasing aftermarket tubular LCA's was that he was buying piece of mind that the balljoint cup on the new LCA would not fail like he has seen in a few other cars with stock LCA's.

Thanks for all the info guys. I've purchased the GW UCAs, so we'll see how things go.
