What is the order of loudness between
a Hyd. Flat,
a Hyd. Flat with Rhoads lifters (heard it sounds like a solid flat),
and a solid roller?

It's not that noisy at at all, you notice it when the hood is up and your listening for it but you just rev it up and it goes away. I had 21 inches of vacuum at idle with a 280 magnum cam and it pulled a lot of torque all the way through. The biggest fun of it is when they get to the top and the cam picks up, it's like a turbocharger kicks in.
You might not like them but you won't regret them either if you install them.

Why are you going to use the rhoads lifters?
Why not just use a regular hydraulic lifter? Those rhoads lifters are just a patch up for a cam thats too big with a stall thats too low....etc...
