finsished a few thing son the car mainly in the interior. Got ALL the wiring done under the dash and interior including'
alarm, window automation
pwr windows and door locks
coil and digital 6 under dash,
wiring the dash with autometer guages
stereo,eq, flush mounted tweeters
courtesy lights
convetered ac to non ac
new painless wiring fuse box
reverse lights
and all kinds of other crap. everything was done very professionaly
I also got the rear where i want it. I think it is at the right ride height asthetically. I don't know what kind of ground clearance i will have though. Also got my leather recaros in. I also fabricated a custom rad moutn that holds the ron davis radiator in. I tis 1/4" aluminum that was anodized black although it came out almost charcoal, i also had the top open to show off the nice brushed top of the radiator. The pictures aren't very good quality. enjoy;

that right there is prolly one of the cleanest dash set-ups I've seen in a while. The whole ride is really coming together nicely. can't wait to see the finished product.

Hey Yody what happened to the original project name? The rad support came out nice. You know it looks better charcole,it has a phenolic feel to it. I'd get the rear seat done up to match the fronts.Project is coming out real nice should be ready to hit the car show scene this summer right????? Doin' it

That thing looks bad-assed! I'm excited to see what it looks like when you get it all together. Always loved those early 70s TAs!

As MrQuick said, only thing I'd change is to do something with that back seat.

the picture of the interior loooks really bad. The seats look a lot nicer and the back seat doesn't mismatch as bad as it looks. I will do the back seat later down the road as something "to do" to the car when i get bored with it. But after its done i would like ot actually start saving money instead of dumping it on the car. Hey vince.....Doin it!

468; AFR rectangle port, 11-1 compression, ultradyne 288/296 solid,...620HP

Damn, that should be enough power to run solid 14s! (hahaha)

Nice work, those early 2nd gen Ponchos are sweet looking.

The car is coming along real nice. Like your front seats. Was the painless wiring that hard to put in. I am going to be installing mine in Feburary.

RECARO Sportline or Toplines. Nice seats. Pricey, but REALLY nice.

I've got a set of Sportlines in my Chevelle, they are a great fit for any muscle car.

no WAY man! You need at least 750 hp to run 12s in a Pro Touring car. Slacker.

The seat are out of an 05 EVO mitsubishi(dont be jealous Ralph), they are very similar to the toplines kris metnioned. The only thing that sucks though is they don't flip foward since they came out of a four door. They look way better in person than that pic. The painfull wiring kit was pretty good. They have great customer support however, they don't give you any tailight sockets, no dash light sockets and not that many plugs. I did like it. I had to remove/add and rewire about %30 of it to fit my needs however, considering my car is far from stock and i had to add my MSD, ALarm system, relays, and a bunch of other crap. But i would definetly use them again.

hey nineball if that is true, then you must have about 900 horse correct? I would be super happy with mid to high 11's. BUt i kinda doubt those times considering the weight/suspesnion setup of my car

Hum? I'm confused here :hmm:. Are you confusing me with someone else? They're bitchin' seats for sure, but I don't remember ever talking to you about seats?

I have 899.9 hp I think. If I had gotten that extra 0.1 hp, I'd have a 10 second timeslip already.

I found a useful conversion on this site while searching:

500 hp = 13s
750 hp = 12s
900 hp = 11s
1200 hp = 10s

.....or did I find that info on a Supra site? :seizure:

:lmao: oh boy, I remember that! That was like 3 years back! It didn't stand for evos though, my name was Evo Sport or something like that for a few days, it meant the evolution of the car (camaro) in terms of performance (pro-touring), but it kept being misunderstood so I just changed it. Evos are really nice cars though, probably one of the few new imports I would buy.

Yody, I tried going to your page but it was unavailable. I have a '70 Formula 400 that I am tearing down for a full PT build up over the next two years. I'd really like to see more of your custom rad mount and info on your rad/fan setup.

Also, did you use a piece of ABS or some plexi for the dash/gauge panel?

Lookin' really, really, clean man

thanks, sometimes my webpage gets overloaded try later. I used ABS plastic for my dash, and the rad/fan is from rondavis radtiators. you get a 10% discount by metnioning this site! I made the rad support bracket out of 1/4" aluminum and had it anodized. thansk again! my car was oringinally a formula 350, then i put a 400 in it now it has a 454

Hey, how did you liek the quality/ease of use with the KwikWire harness you bought? Just read in another post and was wondering what you thought before I jump onboard. Thanks. :)

Thats so far off.

Friend of mine has a 85 Vega. 427 big block. 500 horse with a 350 shot of nitrous. He ran a 10.5 with the nitrous blowing right out the engine(wrong cam). Made the car super rich. Pulled out of the nitrous at the 300 foot mark.

Another friend has a 500 horse 73 Nova with a 750 shot of nitrous. (250 cheater, 500 fogger) He runs low 10's. HUGE traction issues. The rear suspension was built wacked.

nineball was being sarcastic. but he also was talking about a protouirng car, not a drag car. But lets not start on this again! I didn't use the kwikwire, way too universal! i used painless and modified it. I am doing my exhaust right now and will have pics later
