Last Friday I took the day off and in my travels I spent about 30-40 minutes at XV Motorspsorts in Irvington, NY. Scott, a friend, works there and was awesome to give me a tour. The stock Mopars were great, especially the lightweight Coronet. The shop was beyond words-looked like a Ferrari dealership-that clean.

John-Couple of suggestions-make Mustang and A body parts. The workmanship on your products seems second to none. People really need to see it to believe it.

Also, please host a PT event in your shop and/or parking lot-anybody in teh tri-state area needs to see your operations.

Looking forward to seeing the shop again. Anybody who can invest in one of these higher end cars or parts, I would strongly suggest you go see the operations for yourself.

It was my understanding, from a discuss with John on another forum, that XV felt there was already a saturation of the market in A body and Mustang suppliers, which is what prompted the decision to build Mopar systems.

I am sure he is correct, I just would love to do business with them, that is how impressive their products and outfit is.

Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed your visit.

We've tried very, very hard to do all that we are doing at a totally different level. Most people who have seen our stuff first hand have been pretty blown away, especially if they've seen how it was done. I'm really happy with how our showroom came out - with the level of cars we are selling it needed to be special.

In the next few weeks we will make a decision on a really major project to get done this year (besides the customer cars that we are regularly building). One choice seriously being considered is a non-Mopar build, going through the full engineering execrise we've done for the Mopars.

We get many. many requests to do other platforms. If we don't do it now it's just a matter of time.

We do have some pretty wild builds underway which will start being completed beginning in March, with cars being done each month thereafter. A number of these I am really excited about as several of our customers have really wanted to press the envelope.

We will definitely do some open house type events when the weather gets nice. Our location here is really nice, literally right on the Hudson river. I wouldn't mind getting something going on a regular basis here as the place is well suited for it and centrally located from alot of places.

I'm really happy you enjoyed checking the place out and the door is always open here for whoever wants to swing by. We've tried hard to make the place more of a destination so the trip is worth it!

We chose the Mopars specifically for this reason - there was little to nothing available on the high end side. It was a logical place to start for many reasons, including the level of build on the cars themselves.

However, there will be alot of cars running around with our stuff this year, both customer cars and cars we've built, including some really high end builds. So it's now much easier to venture into another platform where there are more existing choices, including some high end ones.

It's very likely we will pursue another platform - really just a matter of when.

John, if your schedule permits, the poker run for the big offshore boats is a must see,I will let Scott know the date. A friend of mine runs his skater powered by two turbine engines, I was in it for a shakedown run at "only" 120 mph - on the hudson.

Your showroom is amazing, on par with any exotic car dealer.

Well, I have been out of town for a couple days so late to this thread. I guess about the time you were visiting the shop Brad, I was placing an order for a rear suspension on my next project-a b-body mopar. I can not wait to get the front end ordered also, and try to get the car ready in time for Power Tour.
I met John and Scott at Columbus Goodguys last year, their parts are just top notch, so I am sure their shop would be too.

I've also been up to XV and it really is a top notch operation. When you see the suspension kits in person you really will be blown away by the craftmanship and engineering that went into them. I already have their chassie stiffening kit on my 68' Charger and will hopefully be adding a few other odds and ends by years end.

Thanks to meeting you at OBI, I bought a GV overdrive for my GTO 4 speed. Not in yet, but I may be contacting you for some help.

Definitely need to get you LI PT guys to Bear Mountain on a Wed. nite. My garage for storage is open to you anytime.
