I have been thinking about producing some upper and lower rear control arms for G Bodies. They would have Poly Bushings and Johnny Joints on the lowers and Spherical Rod Ends on the uppers (Double Adjustable).
What do you guys think of the idea?
Would I be able to sell any?
Is it worth my time?

There are so many manufacturers of rear control arms for G bodies out there already. You would probably sell some but how would you be competitive with whats already out there?

I am with 65/\

There are many out there already and not so many people doing G-bodys yet. There is alot of R&D to bring such a product to market then there is the liability issues. You would need to have alot of sales, and that would mean alot of advertising.....etc.....etc
Not that this is impossible or rocket science, but I really doubt it would be a profitable venture unless you know something everyone else doesn't?
Just my opinion

Honestly, I think there are enough of them already available from "big name" suppliers ie, Edelbrock, Currectrac...But I think there are enough G-body guys looking for inexpensive stuff, so if you can do it for $100 I'm sure there are plenty of guys that will go for it.

damn...we all were typing at the same time

Since you are on this subject. I have BMR rear arms & now think the Johnny Joints would work pretty good. I haven't gone out & looked at them, because it is o(zero) or colder here now. Can I replace the bushings in the arms & replace them with the Johnny Joint units?

Actually Johnny Joints would be nice. But you will be butting heads with elephants, stampeding elephants

Huh?, What do you mean Frank?

I think Frank means that there are many manufacturers doing the same thing right now and it would be hard to break into an already flooded market. That or there is a run with the elephant gig I don't know about....hehe
