Hi this maybe a foolish question but will a Gen 7 system to upgrade to EFI on a small block 1st gen work to run an LS engine if I decide to go that way later ?

With some add on stuff, yes. But you will have to get with Accel to find out exactly what you will need to add.

I have a gen 7 and like it. But if I was going to buy a ECM today it would be a Big Stuff 3. The BS3 is even more flexible than the Accel, without having to find places for 18 black boxes to add the options.

18? I have the Gen7, SFI with WB02 and only had to hide two boxes. Except for the fuel rails and injectors, you wouldn't know I have EFI. However, I too would go with something different, probably the FAST XFI. Accel makes it too difficult for the customer to be successful.

I'm exaggerating, but my setup consists of the ECU, fast EDIST, and wb02. Add transmission control and you have 4 boxes. The BS3 can do all of that on one box. Space is at a premium in a 1st gen. I still don't know where I am going to put my ECU. I might have to mount it in the engine compartment.

I see now. Take a look at the engine and efi sections on my website and you can see where I hid everything. I put the ECU under the front of the console.

I like where you put your ECU. My car has gauges in the console, I don't know if it will fit there or not.

Your car and EFI install look really nice.:twothumbs

Thanks, I appreciate the compliments.

Are you running AC? If not, there may be enough room above or to the right of the glove box. I also thought about putting it under one of the seats or on an RS relay like panel under the driver fender.
