retrofitting power windows

I now have 2 cars with crank windows, '67 Mustang, '89 Jeep Wrangler. How hard is it to make your own kit or transplant? Do most people use a motor to replace the crank or just junk the whole stock window lever assembly? and if you do use a motor to replace the crank where do you setup the limit switches?
