To my darling husband . . .
Before you return from your overseas trip, I just want to let you know about the small accident I had with the pickup truck. I was turning into our driveway after shopping at Wal-Mart and accidentally pushed down on the accelerator thinking it was the brake pedal. I'm really, really sorry and no, I wasn't hurt so you don't have to concern yourself about me.
The garage door is sort of bent but the truck stopped when it lightly bumped into your car. Again, I'm so sorry . . . but I know with your kind-hearted nature that in your heart you have forgiveness. You know how much I love you and our marriage, and I care for you, my sweetheart. I cannot wait to hold you in my arms again.
