View Full Version : used trailing arms
I found a source for really cheep USED NASCAR trailing arms from Muscle motor sports. Does any one have any experience with these? They are 50 bucks a piece compared to 250 for brand new ones from hotrods to hell. I’m planning on setting them up under my camaro.
Are there any other sources out there for good arms? Any opinions on using used arms?

The only advantage to the HRH and stock chevy truck arms is that they will crumple in a crash. If the NASCAR ones you get are tubular and you are rear-ended hard the arms are strong enough to stay striaght and just punch through anything in front of them. On the HRH website there is a picture of a Chevelle that was wrecked real bad and their arms deformed as designed.
well I still have to check into the design of them, I’m going to call them up on Monday. Are the arms on stock cars tubular? I always thought they were of the C channel design.
The car is a street/ track car with more of emphases on the track side of it. I’m not really worried about being rear ended, but in the event of a bad wreck I don’t want the arms to pierce into the car.

NASCAR rules require that the truck arms be of the standard 2-piece ][ type construction. I don't remember the source right off the top of my head, but IIRC, it had something to do with a rule violation ("Circle Track" or "Stock Car Racing" one of the two)
