i have a 68 camaro. so far i only have the ATS spindles which drop it about an inch. stock upper and lower control arms as well. im going to be running 17 inch wheels with a 35 or 40 sidewall. i dont know what spring to get though. i cant afford a coil over set up so i just need a coil spring. how much of a drop should i go? ill probably get the hotchkis spring. i wnat practically no room between the tire and the fender well.

thanks

I would go with Global West S2 and let it settle... If you need it even lower cut a coil after some time.

Another thing to note is stay away from 35 profile tires on 17" rims unless you have monster width rears. Up front it is too little sidewall.

I just picted up a Speedway Motors catalog. I think they have the adjusters in there. If you have the car real low you have to remove the front fenderwells, or modify them for clearance. FRANK

I just installed hotchkis 2 inch drop springs on my 68. I have a 245/45/17 tire on a 7 inch wide wheel with a 4 inch bs. Here is a pic of how it sits

Up front it is too little sidewall.Unless you're looking to somehow fit 315/35's or wider, available 35's in 17" carry too low of a load rating for front duty, too.

Will coil over shock springs settle like a standard coil spring? or just a little or none at all?

Most of the coil overs I've seen settle. You can just adjust them back up. The speedway catalog has a bunch of different options for spring adjusters, some look just like the landrum ones I've seen before. Frank
