I'm looking for someone out there with a set of QA1 coil overs that could whip up a quick sketch with some dimensions.
Picture w/dimensions would work also.
I would like to know the basic outside dimensions.
Diameters, top mount point to top spring seat, bottom mount point to bottom spring seat, min. radius from mounting point to outside of shock, etc. Also, their catolog has a spring cap part#9018-113 that will give more clearence. Does anyone happen to be using these, and what are the dimensions?
Anything you can measure close with Stanley would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Doug

Hey Doug, you can do this yourself from a photo.
You know the O.D. of the spring is 3" so, measure the diameter of the spring in a photo and convert that to a scale factor for the photo.
Example:
Say the spring in your photo measures 1". Divide 1" by 3 (the known diameter) to get a scale factor of .333" this means an inch in your photo equals .33" or a little over 5/16th's of an inch. Now you can measure just about any portion if the photo to get a close approximation of the dimensions. Check yourself with known dimensions. The mounting eyes are usually 1/2" and the shaft diameters are 5/8ths. If you can measure the eye and it comes in a little under .17 you are golden...
As far as the length goes there is a recommended install height for every shock so use that to develope your free and collapsed lengths.
Give it whirl and, if you need any help, holler. I do this all the time and I can get very close to the actual part.

A little x-multiplication, forgot about that way.
Thanks Astro
