Just wondering if any one else was going to the show as a participant or spectator?
I was invited by Marks Auto Parts to display my car in their booth. They put on a cruise night every Monday night with 600 to 800 cars.
The show is held at the Expo Center Friday,Saturday and Sunday.
See you there. Randy

Randy, tell us about the cruise with 600-800 cars. Where is it located? TIA

Marks is in East Granby CT.
Take a look at their web site.

Thanks to all the people who stopped out to say hi, and all the people from Marks that made it possible for me to do the show. Randy

Brian- I'll second it on that cruise in E. Granby- it's like a Monday after work ritual once the weather gets warm (can't wait!). Worth the trip down... Typically a nice night in July or early August will be peak- I think 2007 had something like 860 cars one night. 450-500 is considered a slow night. The location is nice too- big open grass fields, just make sure to check their website if it might be wet, they called it for the first month or so last year due to mud. -Dan

I am in the Torrington area, about a 30 to 40 minuets from Portland. We will have to try and set up a north west get together this summer. Thank for the complements on the car. Randy

Damn, that sounds like a great event. Too bad it's a bit outta my one-way driving range for an evening; looks like a bit over 2.5 hours each way from North Jersey!

Yeah, it's probably almost 2hrs from the Tapanzee bridge. But it might be doable for you if you catch it mid-summer when the days are long-- if you got there by 5:30 or 6:00, it usually starts breaking up around 8:30, 9pm.

A closer one that is pretty good sized is Marcus Dairy in Danbury on Saturday nights. That should be a lot closer for you.

I've heard about the one at Marcus Dairy too; I think that's a bit over an hour drive for me, depending on traffic. I'm ~1/2 hour from the Tappan Zee or I95. Think anyone would want to meet up there some Saturday night in the summer for a mini ProTouring Meet?

Sure- I only made it to Marcus once this year near the end of the season. The only thing I'm not sure on is if they still have a year cutoff (seeing your Monte in the sig.)- it was pretty loose in 2005, was supose to be pre 81, but they let vettes, mustangs, and other high performance stuff in no questions- I think it was to keep the rice-grinders and rolling stereos out.
