Cam lifters / Assembly lube / storage

I'm getting ready to put a new cam and lifters in my motor, but the motor will not be put back into the car or started for some times, probably months. Will it be okay to install the cam and lifters into the motor? and will the assembly lube still be good when I fire the motor?

Hope someone can shed some light on this
