Hey (I'm new here, but thought I'd help!)
Are you scanning pictures from a regular camera, or taking them from a digital camera?
If Scanning, you may have your scanner set to scan directly to PDF. This can usually be changed when starting the scan. Set it to Jpeg or Tiff images. (Don't forget to resize them)
If using digital camera, all you have to do is plug in the camera. No need for the kodak software, or whatever depending on the camera.
It'll ask you how you want to download the pictures, Use the Microsoft Image/Scanning wizard thing. Send them to a folder, and resize them with Paint. 800x600 works well for forums.
If you're having troubles attaching images to your posts, usually there's a button for setting up a link or uploading the image. It's the Yellow and Grey button with the Sun/Mountains on it. That links directly to an image from a website. (I.e. : Photobucket) Using html code

Or , you can use the Attach image file like you did here with your image.
No need to post a PDF file! Jpg's and bmp's work fine.

appreciate the help I will try doing that when I get some time... that was exactly the problem I was having...
