What are you guys using for rear defrost? I'm wanting to install a rear defrost for my rear window. The OEM piece is friggen hard to find. Anyone make a reproduction one?

Thanks guys.

There are a few companies that make aftermarket ones. Most of them come in grids of a certain height and you trim the width to what you want. even JCWhitney carries them

I don't have any experience with them (haven't reached that stage yet), but I'd imagine their durability is directly related to preparation of the glass before you apply it.

I was meaning the blower style thats in the rear decklid area(or whatever you call it)

Thanks for that suggestion though! I'm just not a fan of the lines.

I think JC Whitney sells universal blower style defrosters too. It would take a little work to build it inot the package tray but Im sure you could handle it.

Reviving a very old thread. It was raining this morning and I couldn't see jack out the rear window. Any feedback from you guys on a rear defrost system? I'm guessing most guys don't come out in the rain, but I will drive my car in everything but snow and would like a solution. Thanks.

Forget the blower, you need something more modern. This is what I picked up as an entire kit. I didn't look at the JC Whitney stuff.

Haven't been back to install it but the reviews I've read were good and I thought the price for the kit was reasonable.
