manual steering box questions

I have a 69 Camaro with manual steering box, i need to know if this is supposed to have some type of oil in it? If so , what and how do i put it in?? I tried to remove the adjusting nut and tension screw but the screw doesnt seem to want to come out. Any answers??

GM actually makes a grease for the box. I put some in one by taking one of the bolts out of the adjustment bolt plate. The grease came in a tube, If I can remember to look at my fatherinlaw's shop, I still have some left.
