What are people saying about Fuel?

It looks like a quality piece other that I am not big on the seats.

Who has had expeience tuning the Harrop intake? They mention it was the worst part of the project.

Jason's car is sick. Saw it on the power tour. Met up with him, Bill and Steevo and cruised with them for a little bit. Jason's car looks mean. I love every aspect of it. Hot Rod didnt a horible job with the article. They didnt give him enough credit, they just made it out to be a "bolt on" car.

Super nice car....top quality build, I've seen the car up close, driven beside it, behind it and in front of it,...very detailed....as far as "bolt-ons" as in the article, it's hard to "bolt on" black paint as slick as that is.

yeah i agree...the article they did kinda put the car down. I think the car is awesome.

From what I've heard they have still not got the tuning issues sorted out. I have tuned IR setups and they are a bit different, but I've never tuned them with an OEM computer like I believe he's using. If I had time and was closer I'd love a crack at it.

The car is cool no doubt, kudos to Jason.

That's too bad. Top notch guy and company. It just goes to show you, along with keeping a keen eye on the build process you now have to work with major magazines with the marketing / writing of an article of your own car.

That's why I stick only to PHR. Top notch writing and phot'o's. Now if they can only get the printing correct. :hmm:

I laugh when I read some of Pontiac High Performance. It's pretty much the same magazine it was 20 years ago. Example, it will list everyone who won a trophy at a piticular car show. Taking up 2 pages. Go to next months issue, same type of stuff is posted.

I thought they are already cleaned house at Hot Rod? New style, new theme, etc.

Jason may have been partially at fault for the article. The few times that I have talked to him about his cars, he has always been pretty humble about them. I know that he takes great pride in his builds but it seems to me that since he feels this is necessary that it is no big deal and this may have lead to the way the article was writen ...no big deal just...bolt on

Tried that, still comes out F--ked up. It happens. Prodigy's feature in Super Chevy did not mention Prodigy Customs, ProdigyCustoms.com, That we are a shop, not even what city we are in, nothing. I tried to write the story with out it being a total street walking read, so I only mentioned the company and "you can read more and see build pics at ProdigyCustoms.com" until the end of the story. It appears the last page of the story was dropped / lost.

Whatever, it's ink and can't look a gift horse in the mouth.

I do know Jason was disappointed, but the bottom line is it is 5 pages in Hot Rod, and that is hard to beat.

As long as Primedia allows Freiburger to run the show you can expect the same old crap today that they had in there 25 years ago. Dave's not changing for nobody. For him it's street rods and drag cars and that's where it comes to a screeching halt. I am still amazed that he allowed Jason's car to be in there and that they actually allowed the writer to use the term "Pro-Touring".

Hot Rod did not insult Jason. They were all over that car on Power Tour. Allow me to translate:
> The "bolt-on" parts revolution for pro-touring cars is significant.
> Despite the proliferation of bolt on parts, it takes skilled craftsmen to put together a sharp car.
> Jason's car is sharp.
> Therefore Jason's shop must have skills.

If you still do not understand, you can find an excellent Jive Talk translator here:

The car has a lot of style, its more than a mule clone painted black. I really want to see it in person.

Kudos for being in hot rod, by the way.

Regardless of what Jason says during the interview process with the mag, anyone can see this is a quality piece. This guy and his shop have skills, the car is very clean and very nice. Congrats Jason, I just picked up the mag this weekend, great article and nice pic's.

If Jason had used more duct tape......

I dunno, I saw this car on PT, it is beautiful & the detail is awesome. I met Jason at ETown, and he seemed very humble about it. Far more than I would if I could do that. :worship:

I said it in the power tour posts last June, and I will say it again. Pictures do not do this car justice! And when I said it to Jason, he was very humble about it. I can respect that.

Congrats on the ink Jason. You guys did an amazing job on the car. Anyone that knows anything about cars at all, knows that this is far from a bolt on mod 69 Camaro. So, how many cars have you put in the magazine's now? Keep up the good work.

Couldn't agree more. I ran into Jason for a minute at RTH2 and he was a super nice guy. Super awesome car.

So Jason... since you're mentioning the car will be going through some changes... sounds like you're not getting rid of it after all? :)

Glad to see fuel got the press it deserved. I laughed about how much they talked about bolting things together. It was my favorite car on power tour thats for sure. For anyone that has seen the car to think that you could bolt that togeher and get the same results has to be seriously messed up in the head. Congrats man

I love the car. Say what you want about bolt on parts. Some one else already mentioned how it takes skills to properly bolt on parts and make them work. But you have to admit that car has class. It takes a good sense of style to buils a car and have it all come together and look that good. Fuel is full of style, looks great. When is Fuell II coming out?!?!

I was , and still am but I dont think it will be done for powertour that route. If I turbo it the Harrop intake has to stay , 2 turbos feeding that intake would just be way to cool .

that car sucks I hate it...cause it don't belong to me. killer car, I love the intake, Harrop built a carbon fiber version a few years back, I'd do very bad things for it.

not to many 1st gens catch my eye(sorry guys there are just so many you become jaded, and lose them in a sea of cars), but i love when somebody throws together something that looks that good. there just isnt enough time in my day to look at all the 1st gens and find something that floors me. they have to grab me somehow and that car did , it is really nice Jason wether it is just a bolt together or whatever it is sweet. It is nice to see painted bumpers, just maybe if my detailing is really nice my own painted bumpers will look that good on my car. just went and opened up that article again, jason you do appear to be too humble it is certainly not just a bolt together car.
