OK, as its gotten cold here and snows coming (supposed to) I decided to tackle my one big project for the Winter......and thats big front rotors.
I got the brackets from Corvette Engineering,13" gas slotted rotors and billet hat from Coleman. The hat is 1/16" more offset than stock, but nothing to big, everything was going well until I realised the center hole is different. The stock rotor has a 2.8" hole and the coleman has a 3.08" hole....which is a problem as the rotor wont center.
My idea is this, to buy two hub centric rings (one for each side) to fit over the spindle ( a 71.5mm to 78mm should work) that should center the rotor before I bolt the wheel on.
Please note that no one actually makes a 13" rotor kit for the C3 vette, so thats why I am trying to engineer this.

Any thoughts, ideas??

thanx
Nick

I assume that you have a hub of some sort since you say the rotor is a hat type why not use a c4 or c5 rotor?

Does the '69 'Vette have a cast one-piece rotor/hub or is it two-piece?

If it is one-piece, all you need to do is machine off the rotor part and install a later, larger dia. rotor.

Same goes for a two-piece rotor hub. Unbolt the rotor and front mount the wanted rotor...

I have 1988 'Vette 13" rotors on two-piece hubs on my '67 Camaro along with the big single piston 1969 type calipers except they are the 1/4" wider Van jobbers with my homemade caliper brackets so everything fit's right.

I think you are going to find that your billet hubs are real race parts that are for the track..
