I am setting up my 68 camaro. thinking of going with Wilwood 6 piston front and 4 piston rear.
I have been doing some research and just curious if anyone has any experience with them.
THanks for the input,
dustin

Go for it...Wilwoods are some of the best around, have a Wilwood big brake kit going on my car as we speak, with one of their proportioning valves.
I should be able to report results soon hopefully...:fingersx:

I've heard reports that the superlites aren't that good for road racing. Anyone care to comment that has used them. What's stranage to me is that pretty much everyone on the nextel cup circuit, Nascar, etc. uses them. Are they modified from what you and I can buy?

Thanks for the referals guys. We are doing some killer brake deals.
Depending weather you want 12" / 12" 4 piston / 4 piston, (about $1500) or 13" / 12" 6 piston / 4 piston (about $2200), or 13" / 13" 6 piston / 4 piston, (about $3200) or the big boys, 14' / 14", 6 piston / 4 piston (about $3500), there is no better brake / bling for the buck in the brake industry then GP Super Stores Total car brake kits.
Total car kits include E brake cables, Braided hoses, master cylinnder and prop valve. Everything but hard line.
So just define you budget and brake / bling requirments.

Don't want to high jack this post but I'm looking for brakes. Frank I've been considering wilwood and I was wondering if their rear brakes would fit a 10 bolt bop rear end(Ineed an e-brake). Also does their 13" kit clear 17" torq thrusts. I have wilwood 10.75 front kit and they were nice quality just not big enough.

Just don't let the guys at Wilwood talk you into aluminum hubs for anything other than drag racing/trailer queens. I've seen too many wrecked cars from busted Wilwood aluminum hubs.

Frank, follow the provided link and go down to figure 7. Measure your rear and make sure the bolt pattern is the same. if it is, were good to go.

Tommy, I have never heard of this. But it did intiate a call from me to Wilwood, and the official answer is BS. I would be pretty hard to stay in the brake business if your product was causing crashes. Wilwood did ask that any and all broke hubs be returned for inspection.
If you have ANY documentation of these claims, I would ask for the entire membership of Pro-Touring.com that you provide it as soon as possible. if there is a problem, we all need to know.

Any emperic evidence would be appreciated, I'm using them on my car and would like to know if this holds any truth, as you can imagine . . .

Tommy,
We probably have more chassis out there with Wilwood aluminum hubs on the street than probably anybody. We have NEVER heard of any problem like this.
Heck, Art himself beats the crap out of his every time he drives it. He even got air one time when he went over some railroad tracks WAYYY too fast on his and Craig's trip to California. Works great even to this day!
Do you have any evidence to support this?

I actually talked to Craig about this the other morning. I see Tommy has not been online since his post
