I recall hearing that someone stole a brief case full of documentation on the car at a show or something. Was the info ever recovered?

Back in the day when we had USCC, We were trying to buy that car when it first came available and it was out of site then. I can only imagine what it would do now.

I can remember more than one Camaro supplier and several experts that tried to tell the owner that it was a fake and that they never made a convertable Z/28 and that it wasn't really worth anything more than a regular RS SS convertable! When they finally started to check out the paperwork and the VIN they all got really creamy and dreamy inside and wanted it for themselves. It was a rare find and the contoversy was fired up for over a year with know it all Camaro people still calling it a fake and that everyone was stupid for believing they ever made one like it!:nopity:

The documentation that was stolen will never be worth anything to the person who has it other than jail time so it is unlikely it will ever show up. Maybe if a person buys it for over a million they will be able to buy some amnesty for the idiot who stole it to get it back.
